This article will guide you through adding an image to an email template for email blasts.
NOTES:
- You will need to have your image or images already uploaded into your site under Main > Files.
- Make sure that the picture is under 270 kb and is a jpg file.
- The image file cannot have any special characters or spaces in the name. If the file is saved this way, the web browser will try to open the image as a web page instead of an image.
1. Access Email Template
Navigate to Setup > Communication > Email Templates.
Click on the pencil icon next to the email template you wish to edit.
2. Access Email Editor
Once you click on the pencil to edit, the email template will open to the General tab. To continue click on the Editor tab.
The next step is to either place your cursor where you want the image to appear or click and highlight the image you wish to replace. Once you perform this you will need to either use the image url link button in the editing toolbar or select an image you have already uploaded to your site from the File Store Images drop-down.
Option 1 - Using the 'Insert Image' Option
Before clicking on the Insert Image button you will need to locate the web address location for the image you are going to use. Go back into the Editor and click the insert image button in the editor bar. Clicking the insert image button will open a dialog box. Type or paste the address into the text box Image Web Link and then click the Insert button. This will insert the image wherever you highlighted or placed the cursor.
Option 2 - Adding Image Using File Storage Image Drop Down
The other option for adding an image is selecting something you have already uploaded into your site. In the top-right corner select the image from the drop-down field Select Image From Store. This will add the image wherever you highlighted or placed your cursor.
Your email template will now have an image displayed. Verify the image loaded is correct and click the SAVE button to update your changes.
