This article will guide you through manually creating a task for a prospect, member, or customer in ClubReady. Tasks can be assigned to a specific staff member for completion and can be created from three different locations within a client's profile.

Before You Begin
Make sure you have the following before getting started:

- Member Management: General - Can Access Client Options
How to Create a Task
Search for and select the prospect, member, or customer you wish to create a task for. A task can be created from any of the following three locations:

Option 1 — Tasks Tab
Click the Tasks tab from the client's profile. Complete the following fields:
- Call — Clicking this will populate the client's phone number into the Add New Task field.
- Add New Task — Enter the name of the task.
- Due Date — Set the date by which the task should be completed.
- Assigned To — Select the staff member responsible for completing the task.
- Optional Color — Assign a color to the task border to indicate priority or response level.
- Assign A Purpose — Classify the purpose of the task for reporting and organization.
- Assign A Priority — Select the urgency level of the task.
Click Add New Task to save.

Option 2 — Work It Icon
Click the WORK IT icon from the client's profile, then click Add Task. Complete the following fields:
- Add New Task — Enter the task description.
- Due Date — Set the date by which the task should be completed.
- Assigned To — Select the staff member responsible for completing the task.
- Optional Color — Assign a color to the task border to indicate priority or response level.
- Assign A Purpose — Classify the purpose of the task for reporting and organization.
Click Add The New Task to save.

Option 3 — All Detail Icon
Click the ALL DETAIL icon from the client's profile, then select the Tasks tab. Complete the following fields:
- Add New Task — Enter the task description.
- Due Date — Set the date by which the task should be completed.
- Assigned To — Select the staff member responsible for completing the task.
- Optional Color — Assign a color to the task border to indicate priority or response level.
- Assign A Purpose — Classify the purpose of the task for reporting and organization.
Click Add New Task to save.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Is there a difference between the task fields available in each of the three options?
A: The fields are largely the same across all three options. The Tasks tab includes an additional Assign A Priority field to indicate the urgency of the task, which is not available through the Work It or All Detail options.
Q: Can a task be reassigned to a different staff member after it has been created?
A: Yes. Tasks can be reassigned at any time. Refer to the How-to: Reassign a Task article for step-by-step guidance.
