This is an article on how to assign an internal prospect type during agreement write up.
1. Rules for Internal Leads
Set the rules for the internal leads under Setup > Sales > General Settings > New Agreements and under Rules For Internal Leads located at the bottom of the page.
The first option is to set a default internal prospect/lead type for customers purchasing a membership agreement.
The second option is to be able to choose a prospect/lead type when writing a new agreement. Choose Yes to Show Prospect Type On New Agreement Process. You can select if it is required for your staff members.
2. Assign Type on New Agreement
Complete Step 1 on writing an agreement. Once you have finished Step 1 of the agreement write up process, click Save And Go To Step 2.
Now in Step 2 of writing an agreement you will see a drop down menu for Internal Prospect Information. Here you can view and choose the Prospect/Lead Type for this customer. If you have a default type set then it will be selected for you already with the option to edit if needed. This will assign that prospect type for your customer.
You may create Business Automation Rules or send an Email Blast to this group of customers based on this prospect/lead type.
