This article will guide you through replacing the thermal receipt paper in a Star Micronics TSP 100 receipt printer.
NOTE: It is recommended you clear all print jobs before you change the thermal receipt paper roll. Once the roll is replaced it will print all receipts that are still in the print queue.
Here are the 4 steps required to reload the thermal receipt paper:
1. On the right side of the printer press and slide the switch towards the back of the printer. This will pop open the lid.
2. Flip the lid open towards the back of the printer.
3. Set the roll of paper into the printer with the loose paper coming from under the roll towards the front of the printer.
4. Once the thermal paper is installed close the lid. The receipt paper will advance and trim itself so it is ready to print your first receipt.
Troubleshooting: If the receipt paper is printing blank make sure it is thermal paper by running your fingernail across the sheet. This should produce a black line. If no line appears the roll is probably regular paper and will not work with this printer.
Requirements - 3 1/8" wide roll of thermal receipt paper.
