Reports - POS Close Detail
This article will guide you through generating the POS Close Detail Report. This report will provide the name of the staff member who closed the POS, the date/time the POS was closed, and the Drawer Balance at the time of the action.
Please Note:
- The retrieval of reports is limited to a 10-year timeframe from the current date, and the download process may vary in duration depending on the selected time frame.
- Reports are not customizable.
- This report reflects outcomes in real-time.
1. Access Your Report
Navigate to Reports > Sales > POS Close Detail.
Select a custom date range using the calendars provided, or choose a preset date range from the options on the right. There will be a drop down to filter to a specific POS Terminal.
After selecting the date range and POS Terminal, click Generate POS Log Report.
2. Understanding Your Report
The online report will display the following information under Generate POS Log Report. Additionally, there will be an option to export this report as a PDF, or to view a more detailed breakdown within the site.
Close Date / Time - The date and time that the POS was closed
Closed By - The staff member that closed the POS
Drawer Balance - The drawer's balance at the time of the POS close
Detail - Clicking view will further break down the Drawer Balance.
Open / Close Reconciliation - Displays the balance at the time of the Open and Close.
Drawer Balance Total Summary - Shows info related to Adjustments, Sales and Drops performed while open.
Drawer Cash Only Balance Summary - Shows amounts for Open / Close Adjustments, Cash Sales, Cash Added / Dropped.
Drawer Cash Breakdown At Close - Shows the quantity of each unit within the drawer at the time the close was performed.
POS Transaction Summary - Shows the number of sales by Type, along with the dollar amount for each type.
Sales Breakdown (Without Taxes) - Sales excluding Sales Tax for Merchandise and Non-Merchandise.
Requirements - A 'Master Admin' login or a staff login with the following permissions.
- Reporting: Can access reports (must be enabled to see any reports)
- Reporting: Can access sales: pos action logs
