You may not be able to apply a discount, promo code, or gift card to a payment due to one or more of the following common reasons:
1. Insufficient Staff Permissions
ClubReady has permission-based roles. If a staff member doesn't have the appropriate permissions, they may not be allowed to apply discounts or promo codes.
Troubleshooting:

Navigate to Staff > Lookup a Staff Member > view permissions for the user.
- Review the role permissions. In this example, you can see what they have access or not when it comes to discounts:
2. Promo Code or Gift Card Is Expired or Not Active
If a code or gift card isn’t currently valid, it won’t be applicable.
Troubleshooting Discounts:

Navigate to Setup > Sales > Discount Schemes or Package Discounts

Verify the following:

Activation and expiration dates

Status (Active/Inactive)

Usage limits

Applicable services or products

Troubleshooting Gift Cards:
- Ensure there is an available balance on the gift card
3. Code Not Applicable to Product or Package
Promo codes or discounts can be limited to specific memberships, products, or services.
Troubleshooting:

Verify that the item being purchased is eligible for the discount/promo code.

Check the configuration of the code to see what it applies to.
- Navigate to Setup > Sales > Package Discounts (for sales packages) or Setup > Products > Product Discounts (for products).
4. Already Applied or Conflicting Codes
Only one discount, promo code, or gift card may be allowed per transaction.
Troubleshooting:

Ensure no other discount or promo is currently applied.

Try removing any existing offer to test the new one.
5. Technical or Browser Issues
Occasionally, browser-related issues or cached data might interfere with the UI.
Troubleshooting:

Try refreshing the page or logging out and back in.

Use a supported browser like Chrome, Edge or Firefox.

Clear browser cache or switch browsers.
