This article will guide you through enabling the setting to enforce payment details on file for agreements with draft. This can be useful if the down payment is collected via cash, written check, or externally so that you can enforce payment info to be provided when there are future invoices due. Upon updating your settings, an agreement can not be finalized without this information being entered, except by any staff type that has proper permissions to skip.
Navigate to Setup > Sales > Sales Settings > New Agreements > Writing Agreement Settings > Enforce A Payment Method For Agreements With Draft.
Select Yes to enable this function. Scroll to bottom to Update Settings.
Now payment information will be required to finalize the agreement if there are future payments.
When collecting the down payment on an agreement that has future scheduled payments, A Payment Method On File Are Required For Draft screen will appear. Staff will enter in the credit card or bank account information for future drafting purposes. If the staff type has the correct permission, a Skip button will appear in the upper right hand corner. This will allow them to finalize the agreement without adding a Credit Card or Bank account on file in the members account.
Requirements - A 'Master Admin' login or a staff login with the following permissions.
- Club Setup: Can access setup
- Club Setup: Can access sales general settings
