This article will guide you through troubleshooting when you are unable to send SMS messages in ClubReady.
1. SMS Credits
In order to send SMS Text Messages within ClubReady, your current credit balance must have a value above $0.00, as each SMS will cost 2 cents. To view your current available balance, navigate to Setup > ClubReady Invoices > Add Credit.
On this same page, you will be able to add a credit balance if needed. Under the Add Additional Credit Balance To Account section, enter in your Credit Card information and click Click To Add Credit.
2. SMS Opt In
By default, all profiles entered into the system will be opted out of SMS. Using the filters within the Prospects and Members tabs, you will be able to determine who has not yet Opted In for this service. Navigate to Prospects > Filter Button > select SMS Opt-Out within the No Misc. Filter dropdown. Profiles that have not opted in will then populate within the Prospect or Member list.
3. Blast Communication Preference
Once you have set your filter to SMS Opt-Out, you will be able to send an Email Blast to have these clients Opt In. Under the Email tab, click change template and select the Blast with Communication Prefs Link (ClubReady System Default) template. After selecting the template, click Now, In 2 hrs, In 4 hrs or Schedule It For Later Date to send the email.
4. Country Code
If SMS messages are not sending out, you may need to adjust your Club Country. To adjust this, navigate to Setup > General > General Settings. From here, select the proper country within the dropdown menu.
5. Permissions
In order to send an SMS, the staff profile must have the proper permissions. Navigate to Setup > Staff > Staff & Permissions > Edit pencil next to the staff type > Permissions.
Once you are on the Permissions tab, navigate to Member Management: Communication and click the edit pencil. From here, you will be able to enable the Can send bulk SMS text messages and Can send single SMS text messages permissions.
6. Tags Exceeding Character Limit
When using the SMS tags in automation, the max character limit could be exceeded. For example, if [locationname] is used and the club's name is long it could exceed the character limit and prevent the SMS from sending even though the rule will show in the user's automation history.
