This article will guide you through the steps on how to add, edit or remove a credit card being used when completing a payment at the Point of Sale.

Once you have advanced to the Checkout screen, select CARD.
Add a New Payment Profile on File (Ex. First Purchase)
Once you have advanced to the Checkout screen, select CARD to proceed with card payment options:
- Enter: Manually enter credit card details or swipe the card (if not using tap to pay devices).
- Tap to Pay: Activated devices for tap to pay payments will be displayed for selection.
PLEASE NOTE: If using Tap to Pay, the SWIPE button will no longer display. You will now use the ENTER button to manually add a credit card or swipe.
A pop up window will appear for Name, Card number, Expiration and Billing Address.
Auto Fill - This button will automatically populate the user's information such as their name and address. Anonymous users will not have the Auto Fill option.
Reset - It will reset the card number, in case you need to type over.
Store On File - This toggle will allow you to save the new credit card information.
Click Save to update.
The checkout screen will now display the new payment profile as "on file". Click Complete This Sale to finalize the purchase.
Edit an Existing Payment Profile
In the checkout screen, you can choose to edit an existing payment profile by selecting the edit pencil. It will highlight in yellow when you hover over the icon.
NOTE: Once you entered the new payment profile, it will remove the previous credit card information.
A pop up window will appear with the Name, Card number, Expiration and Billing Address.
Auto Fill - This button will automatically populate the user's information such as their name and address.
Reset - This button will revert to the previous payment profile and address.
Store On File - This toggle will allow you to save the new credit card information.
Click Save to update.
Remove an Existing Payment Profile from the Cart
You can delete the existing payment profile from being used as a payment method in the cart by selecting X Remove. It will highlight in red when you hover over the icon.
NOTE: This does not remove it from their profile.
Understanding Backend Process:
When you click "Save" to add or edit your payment profile, your part is done, but the process continues on our end.
It takes up to 15 minutes for our system to generate a second token needed for processing any future payments on your card. During this time, if the token isn't available, the system may decline any attempts to use the card on file.
Don’t worry, you can still complete a transaction using the card directly, without needing the card on file.
Decline Messages:
- Decline message when an on-file card is ran within 15 minutes of the initial in-person transaction, but the Payment Method has not been created yet:
- PaymentProfile token has not been converted, yet. You may try again in a few minutes.
- Decline message when an on-file card is ran later than 15 minutes of the initial in-person transaction, but the Payment Method has not been created yet:
- An error occurred converting the PaymentProfile token. Please use another form of payment.
- This process while it can take about 30 seconds, it could take up to 15 minutes.
