Workshops are a great way to offer additional, specialized training to your customers, and not to mention a great way to make some extra revenue. Read on how you can setup a workshop or teacher trainings class in ClubReady.
Please Note:
- These steps are a suggested workaround; ClubReady is not designed to offer Workshops or Teacher Trainings.
1. Add A New Class Type: Navigate to Setup > Scheduling > Classes/Group. Name your Workshop, select Add The New Class. Work through the tabs to set the workshop to your needs, but make sure to have the following settings in the Setup Scheduled Classes window:
- In the Class Settings Tab
- Class Duration.
- Standard Price set.
- In the Booking Settings Tab
- Attendees Must Book A Place In Class set to 'Yes' so you can add class capacity, etc.
- In the Instructors Tab
- Add A New Instructor(s).
Pro Tip: Follow the prompts in the 'Click Here For Details Why It's Not Available' to learn what you need to make your workshop available to book.
2. Create a Sales Package: Navigate to Setup > Sales > Sales Package to create a new sales package (it's suggested that your package name mirror the name of your workshop) and assign it to your workshop. Work through the tabs to set the sales package to your needs, but make sure to have the following settings in the Sales Package Setup window:
- In the Settings Tab
- Package Duration, this should expire the day after the Workshop is available.
- Monthly or Package Standard Price.
- In the Included Tab
- Assign your workshop in the sales package.
Pro Tip: Sales Packages, including your Workshop credit, can be available for online sales on your website or mobile app. How-to: Enable a Sales Package for Online Sales
3. Add to Point of Sale: You can include your Workshop package as a POS shortcut for staff to easily select when making a sale. How-to: Add Sales Packages and Products to the POS Shortcuts Pad
Pro Tip: This only applies if the sales package was setup as a Membership Add On or Service. Membership Packages will need to go through the agreement write up process.
4. Create a Lead Type: (Optional) Workshops create a great opportunity for lead generation. If your current clientele invite guests, you may want to create a lead/referral type to capture this referral channel. Navigate to Setup > Leads > Lead Types.
