This article will guide you through understanding the First Time Bookings Widget. This widget takes a snapshot of the information from the Referrals report using the First Bookings option.
Please Note: The widget will not be available to a staff type by default. To assign this widget to a staff type, navigate to Setup > Staff > Staff Types > edit staff type > Dashboard tab. The widget will show on the Not Assigned list. Click on the widget and move to Assigned for staff to be able to add it to their dashboard.
Metrics:
- Date range defaults to today's date
- The largest date range that can be used is 32 days (If a larger date range is selected an error will display)
- Select different dates and click Update Date Range to update metrics
Comparing the Widget to the Referrals Report:
To have the First Time Bookings Widget match your Referrals Report (Reports > Intelligence > Referrals), use the following filters:
- "Use First Bookings"
- All consults/first bookings during report date range
- All conversions during report date range
Click Run Report to view more details.

When reviewing the report, you will want to look into the following columns:
Prospects Added - How many prospects were added during the selected date range per referral type
First Bookings - How many prospects booked for a first appointment
Booking Shows - How many appeared for their first appointment during the selected date range and the percentage of booked vs showed.
Shows % - This number is first booking shows / first bookings made
Prospects Added - How many prospects were added during the selected date range per referral type

Shows % - This number is first booking shows / first bookings made
Converted - How many who attended their first booking were sold an agreement during the selected date range and the percentage of prospects vs converted. This column depends on the parameter selection for conversions. Note that prospects who became members without a consult are also included in the total for this column
Conversion % - This number is calculated from how many prospects bought memberships / how many prospects were added. (Example: 5 bought memberships / 18 prospects added = 27%)
